A busy week in Port Pollenca

Last Saturday we all moved to Port Pollenca where we plan to be until the end of January. Jessica, Alistair, Oliver and Max arrived on Saturday as well and we have had a hectic time since then. The boys get up at 5:30 in the morning, are full of energy until evening and thus keep us busy with beach games, swimming, hiking and of course frequent stops for food, tapas and drinks. Oliver also got his first boat, you can´t start them early enough! Great fun. The octopus in the last picture had two of his arms around my ankle. Unfortunately, I was so startled, I shook it off in the water instead of throwing it onto land and preparing it for dinner. I will have to remember next time when I stand in the water as bait.

Andrea ist auch angekommen

Andrea ist gestern auch gut angekommen und wir haben einen sehr schönen Abend auf unserer Dachterasse genossen: Sonnenuntergang, preisgekröntes Eis vom Nachbarn und ein Glas Sekt.

Bernice is visiting us

On Tuesday, Sheila´s mother arrived from Vancouver after some delay due to the Lufthansa strike. Yesterday, we explored the East coast of Mallorca, today Andrea is coming. After a day of cloud and wind, the weather turned nice again with sunshine and 25 degrees Celsius.

Wir geniessen Mallorca

Meine Eltern sind wieder nach Deutschland zurückgeflogen; wir hatten eine schöne Zeit und haben viel unternommen. Jetzt genießen wir die Ruhe und das schöne Wetter auf unserer Dachterrasse, und ich erhole mich von einer Zahnoperation. Nächste Woche kommen Sheila´s Mutter und Andrea.

Portixol, Mallorca

After spending time with the grand-kids in Manchester, we visited Andrea in London and then briefly stopped at my parents in Germany. Today then we all flew to Mallorca where we plan to spend the next couple of months enjoying the sunshine, the beaches, mountains and towns.
