Another sunny day, another long hike. Today, from a viewpoint above Soller (Mirador des Ses Barques) to an abandoned house on the coast, Sa Costera. This walk goes through the very beautiful Balitx valley, full of orange and olive trees with vultures circling above (I did keep moving). There is a small guesthouse in the middle, the Agrotourisme Balitx d´Avall, alas today there was nobody there to serve me the customary orange juice. The view from the old house along the coast is rather spectacular.
Sheila had knee surgery in Germany today, all went well, and hopefully she will be able to join me again soon on these long hikes.
I am alone again for a little bit and a friend of ours asked me to check on some hikes she wants to publish in the new edition of her Mallorca hiking book, tough job. So today I set off for 18.5 km from Lluc to Pollenca, beautiful sunshine and at 10-15 degrees Celsius just right for walking. Met a few sheep, not much else going on at this time of year. The first picture shows the a dangerous creek I had to cross, the last picture is a rock formation called the camel. Hope you can see it.
