Just a short hop into Prideaux Haven today. There is no cellphone reception, no other boats, just sunshine and quiet. Gives me a chance to do some boat work like oiling the teak, and take the kayak for a spin.
No pub last night, we were invited to a sister ship of ours and spend some time with nice people from Whitehorse. This morning Sheila went back to Vancouver and I came to Jedediah Island where I am anchored in Little Bull Passage now. We were last here in July 2006 with Andrea (who is sailing in Gibraltar today!). The weather is still hot and sunny, and the island is great for walking.
Sheila came to the boat this morning and we walked around Newcastle Island. The weather is hot and sunny today and the Nanaimo Yacht Club opened the boating season with ovet 50 boats cruising through the anchorage. Nice sight! Now dinner is slowcooking and we are off to the Dinghydock Pub for a drink.
