When Sheila and I left Campbell River, I thought we were going somewhere new in Nodales Channel. When I read my old logbooks last night, I found out that we actually had been in Lost Dog Cove, named Lagoon Anchorage in the current guidebook, twice before in July of 2007. It was one of my favourite places up here, and I did not recognize it. We even did the same tour, first Handfield Bay, then lagoon. Sheila kindly suggested the lost memory (now found again) was related to the large number of islands and bays seen since then rather than the advance in age. Below the picture Bonnie and Andy took when we were in Lost Dog Cove on a very rainy day 11 years ago. Fittingly, we also had heavy rain this morning but not until we had taken a SUP cruise around the lagoon. Now we are tied up to the Shoal Bay public dock and the weather has brightened up.
