Nice dinner last night and today we started with breakfast with friends from our Alaska trip. We stopped for lunch and a hike in Pirates Cove, no pirates though as we were the only boat there. Today was still hot and sunny, but tonight a cold front with lots if wind and rain is moving through. We are safely tied up in Silva Bay on Gabriola Island. There used to be a nice pub here, but unfortunately that burned down last winter.
Sheila flew into Maple Bay today, and I arrived shortly after. It is our 38th anniversary today, and we went for a nice hike. Tonight it is off to one of our favourite restaurants in the neighbourhood to celebrate. And I got some flowers, the beauty of the internet.
We left Vancouver very early this morning and took a car full of our boat stuff to Sidney. Ancient Murrelet is all ready for another summer, and the weather was accordingly hot (21 deg) and sunny. Sheila went back to Vancouver and will fly to the boat on Thursday. I left Sidney and am now in Montague Harbour for the night.
