Back in Mallorca

We spent some nice days in Siegelbach and Kirchheimbolanden with the family over Christmas and are now back in Mallorca. Today we hiked from Soller to Port Soller with some of the Jenkins’s crowd who are staying close to us. Tim, Andrew and Daniel took the bikes to Sa Calobra (and back). I think we had the easy part today!

We are very grateful for another good year with lots of time spent with family and friends in Canada, the Caribbean and Europe. We wish you all a joyful Christmas and a blessed year 2020.

Winter day in Mallorca

Sheila went to Germany for a few days and I am enjoying a nice winter day in Mallorca, sunny and 20 degrees Centigrade. I took my kayak around the lighthouse on the point that La Fortaleza is built on, which featured in the BBC series The Nightmanager. Great day!

Weihnachtliches Palma

Wir sind durch die festlich geschmückte Stadt gebummelt und haben uns mit unseren Freunden Siegfried und Maike getroffen um ein Jazz Konzert zu besuchen. Ein schöner Abend, aber es ist etwas später geworden als wir es so gewohnt sind.

Manacor to Arta

Friederike and Steffen are visiting us this weekend, and today we went to Manacor to rent some bikes (yes, e bikes, we thought we were old enough). We took the Via Verde, an old train track to Arta, 32 km away. There we enjoyed a nice break in the sun with lunch, and then pedalled back.
