I had a great time with our friends in Pender Harbour and continued on North today. On the way to the Harmony Islands I passed a pretty waterfall. This afternoon the sun came out and it warmed up quite a bit. Great for paddling. Tonight at low tide I am hoping for an oyster feast.
I am spending a couple of days in Pender Harbour, visiting friends. Unfortunately we have lost the sunshine, but the weather is supposed to be nice again next week.
A bit further north today. I wanted to stay in the Smugglers Cove Park, but despite a big sign saying closed and no entry, the anchorage there was rather full. So I came to Secret Cove, just around the corner, where I have a finger of the bay to myself. The weather is fantastic, and after a bit of work on anti-infectives, I went for a ride with the Hobie kayak. The seals enjoyed the sun too.
I left Vancouver on Ancient Murrelet today, and am anchored in Port Graves now. Sheila is helping her mother and I am alone on the boat for a bit. Despite the border being closed, and thus no American boats in BC right now, the anchorage is quite busy with a dozen boats. The weather is sunny and warm.
