inWe are spending two days in Drew Harbour behind Rebecca Spit. This is a beautiful long beach, great for walking and kayaking. Today we went to the pub at the Heriot Bay Inn for lunch. The weather continues to be very hot and sunny.

inA short hop around the corner and we are anchored in Tenedos Bay now. Busy, but not as busy as Prideaux. The weather today is even hotter, and the water here is warmer than yesterday, so more swimming.

inWe came back into Prideaux Haven today, which is very busy and quite full of boats this time. The temperature was well above 30 degrees Celsius today, water temperature 22. We both went swimming.

inWe came back to Squirrel Cove today and watched both orcas and humpback whales on the way. The weather is hot and sunny and friends are coming over for a drink tonight.

inWe left our idyllic anchorage on Read Island, spent some time watching whales, and then came into Waiatt Bay on Quadra Island. This is quite busy, but we found a nice corner in the shade (with a landline). There is no cellphone coverage here, so no pictures.

inWe left Gowlland early this morning and stopped at Mitlenatch Island to look at the sea lions and birds. We then met friends in Drew Harbour behind Rebecca Spit for a walk and a chat. Tonight we are anchored off Read Island. On the way we saw quite a few whales, but again no good pictures.

inSheila joined me this morning and we went back into Gowlland Harbour to enjoy a hot and sunny afternoon on the paddle boards.

With our dinghy, kayaks and boards, I feel we have a lot of toys on the boat. When we anchored though, there was a 87 metres superyacht in the anchorage that travels with a 66 metre big support ship to manage all their toys (helicopter, tenders, dinghies, landing craft, off road vehicles etc.), quite a sight.

inI left the boat in Campbell River to spend the weekend with Sheila in Vancouver. Yesterday was the celebration of life for her mother who passed away in December. A lot of her family attended and it was nice to see everyone again. Today I flew back to Campbell River, small plane (land based with wheels), but a very short flight. Tomorrow Sheila joins me and we plan to enjoy nice summer weather in Desolation Sound.

inSheila flew back to Vancouver yesterday and today I came into Gowlland Harbour, close to Campbell River. I saw some whales on the way, but they were too far away for a picture. I spent the afternoon cleaning the boat in brilliant sunshine.
